Hello! I'm Hekus, I am an avid gamer and work at Integrated DNA Technologies after getting my Bachelor's in Computer Science at the University of Iowa with a minor in Art History! I have lived in Iowa since I was 9 and don't know if I could ever give it up. I moved here from the Netherlands making a pit stop in Massachusetts and Missouri first.
I joined a student organization at the University of Iowa called EPX Studio where I developed much of my programming knowledge not learned in classrooms and became Vice President in 2016, President in 2017, and stepped down to be Treasurer in 2018. During my last year in at the University of Iowa I began an internship at Integrated DNA Technologies, Inc. working on the Software that runs the synthesizer machines. I then took a full time position at the company and have expanded my knowledge greatly. I currently still work at IDT and enjoy the work I do as I'm able to see the effect it has on the company and thereby the world.
